National President of Nupewood
NatioAhmed Ibrahim is the National President of Nupewood. A visionary leader, he has consistently promoted Nupe cultural heritage through film, music, and creative arts. With a wealth of experience in leadership and community service, he is committed to building Nupewood into a platform that empowers creatives, unites members, and projects Nupe talent on both national and international stages. He strongly believes in the power of art to preserve identity, educate society, and inspire younger generations. Ibrahim Ndanusa
Vice President (Niger State)
As Vice President of Nupewood, Ibrahim Ndanusa supports the coordination of programs and initiatives that strengthen the creative industry. He is passionate about talent development, grassroots empowerment, and fostering partnerships that enhance the visibility of Nupe filmmakers and musicians. His role involves working closely with the President and other executives to ensure that the association’s objectives are successfully achieved. Known for his dedication and commitment to teamwork, he plays an active role in promoting discipline, collaboration, and innovation among members.

Umar Salihu Adamu
National Secretary General
Umar Salihu Adamu is the Secretary General of Nupewood, overseeing administration, records, and official correspondence. With excellent organizational skills, he ensures smooth communication within the council and membership. He also manages documentation and record-keeping, ensuring transparency and accountability in the association’s affairs. His commitment to order, clarity, and fairness makes him an indispensable part of the executive team. Jibril believes that discipline and structure are essential for sustaining progress in the creative sector.

Treasurer
Mohammed Baba Babanakwa serves as the Treasurer of Nupewood, responsible for managing funds and maintaining proper accounts. He upholds transparency and accountability, ensuring that the association’s finances are directed towards projects that advance the Nupe creative sector

Umar Mohammed
Publicity Secretary (Niger State)
Umar Mohammed serves as the Publicity Secretary of Nupewood. He is responsible for media relations, public image, and information dissemination. With strong communication and advocacy skills, he ensures Nupewood’s programs, artists, and cultural contributions gain wide recognition across diverse platforms. His role involves strategic promotion through traditional and digital media, ensuring the association maintains a strong and positive reputation. Passionate about cultural storytelling, he believes effective communication is a powerful tool to showcase Nupewood’s vision and achievements globally.

Mohammed B. Issa
His Royal Highness Alhaji Yusuf Nuhu
Organizing Secretary (Kwara State)
As Organizing Secretary, Mohammed B. Issa plans and coordinates Nupewood events, programs, and logistics. He is known for his efficiency in event management and his commitment to promoting unity and professionalism in the creative industry. His role includes supervising programs, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring that activities are executed smoothly. He brings innovation and structure to the association’s programs, making them impactful and memorable. Through his work, Nupewood has continued to host successful gatherings that inspire pride in Nupe cultural heritage.

Ibrahim Salihu
Auditor (Kwara State)
Ibrahim Salihu is the Auditor of Nupewood. He is responsible for auditing financial records, ensuring transparency, and promoting accountability in all transactions. His role ensures that funds are properly managed and reported, thereby fostering trust among members and stakeholders. Through careful checks and evaluations, he helps identify areas for improvement in financial practices. His diligence supports financial discipline and reinforces the association’s commitment to integrity and accountability.

Patigi Emirate — Pategi (Kwara State)
His Royal Highness Umar Bologi II
The 7th Etsu Patigi, appointed in April 2019, succeeding his father Etsu Ibrahim Umaru Chatta.

Shonga Emirate — Kwara State
His Royal Highness Dr. Haliru Yahaya
Known simply as the Emir of Shonga, he continues to lead the emirate (reference to his active role in delivering community affairs).

Agaie Emirate — Agaie
His Royal Highness Alhaji Yusuf Nuhu
Appointed in April 2014 following the death of the previous Emir in March that year.

Shonga Emirate — Kwara State
His Royal Highness Dr. Haliru Yahaya
Known simply as the Emir of Shonga, he continues to lead the emirate (reference to his active role in delivering community affairs).

Bida Emirate (Etsu Nupe) — Bida
His Royal Highness Brig. Gen. (Rtd.) Yahaya Abubakar, CFR
He has been the 13th Etsu Nupe (King of Nupe) since 2003. He also serves as Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers.
